The Golden Temple is the largest teaching center of the Nyingma lineage of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. The 11th throne holder of the Palyul lineage established the monastery in 1963, following his 1959 exit from Tibet. The temple and its surroundings are really peaceful and beautiful. The temple also has three spectacular statues. The visitors to the Golden Temple are requested to be visit with a meaningful conduct and meaningful attitude. The Golden Temple is open for the visitors from 7am till 7pm daily. It is ideal to vist the Monastery on your way to Montrose if you’re driving on the Mysore-Mangalore Highway to get to us.
